French Makan Ride On Harley

Hosted by Alison Grün - The Free-Spirited French Biker

My name is Alison, I was born in Paris, France, from a French father and Franco-Vietnamese mother, and spent my childhood there. I explored life and work in a few countries between 18 and 20 years old, and then moved to Manchester, UK, where I obtained a Bsc (Hons) International Management. I came to Kuala Lumpur in March 2015 and I've been living here since then. I have been a passionate motorcycle (especially Harley-Davidson) rider since my youngest age. I'm indeed a lucky only child who was taken on multiple road trips and wherever my parents wanted to travel. I started riding on the back of my dad's bike as early as 4 years old. I got my own 2 wheels (scooter) when I was 14, and my first Harley (Sportster 883cc) when I was 19, which I still have (and customised a lot over the years). Road trips are a "MUST" in my life, they help me refocus, relax and get new perspectives on life. My favourite quote: “Motorcyclists have never needed a mindfulness coach to tell us it’s all about the journey” (Henry Cole). I'm driven by a thirst of freedom, honesty, and love. Some of my favourite discussion topics are related to womanhood, sociology, self-development and feminine leadership. As a lover of the outdoors, I am excited to share all the cool and interesting spots that took me years to discover, and to contribute to small local businesses. I also plan to host more diversified experiences in Kuala Lumpur to encourage visitors to go a step further into the local culture, because I believe it is people who make travels memorable. Most importantly, I wish to create job opportunities for Malaysian women riders and help them finance their training in motorcycle riding and tourism.
