4 sessions in total, different design but under the theme of "A Turtle's Wheel of Life".

These are online guided painting sessions over Zoom on every Sunday where I will guide you through the whole journey on how you can use just your fingers and some pastels to create a masterpiece of your own while relaxing from the comfort of your home.

Pastel Nagomi Art, a form of Japanese art healing founded in Japan that has the ability to create harmony and hope in the heart of the painter and its admirers. It is a free style therapeutic drawing where you use your fingers to apply the pastel powders on the paper directly. There is no right or wrong or any drawing rules - we can draw literally ANYTHING on the paper.

Nevertheless, my teaching aims to bring deeper meaning in the art we created. Thus, the theme of our Nagami Art painting would be wildlife protection of sea turtles and we will cover the following themes across 4 sessions:

Return ~ Digging themselves out from the nest, sea turtles new journey begins. The little turtles orient themselves to the brightest horizon, and then dash toward the sea and exploring the world with all the curiosity and excitement.

Escape ~ Research suggests that 52% of the world’s turtles have eaten plastic waste. The reasons are simple: a floating plastic bag can look like a lot of jellyfish, algae, or other species that make up a large component of the sea turtles’ diets. Sea turtle need to be cautious all the time to survive.

Joy ~ We, human are curious about sea turtle, so do they. Swimming along side a sea turtle is fun but we always need to be cautious, not to touch or destroy any wild life is an important rule while exploring the girth from mother earth. Keeping distance and be polite is important across all creature, hey, you won’t be happy either if some stranger touch you.

Love ~ No matter how far a sea turtle has explored or travel, she will always come back to where she was born to lay her eggs. Although sea turtles are more comfortable in the ocean but their eggs can only survive on land, taking all the risk she has, she will return to land midnight and lay her eggs. Just like our mother, always having our best interest at heart and willing to take all the risk and give us all she has. Unconditional love is the instinct in all mothers.
